Nissan Homy MPG

Hi, I am thinking of buying a Nissan GT Cruise Homy 1995, 2 wheel drive, 2.7 DTi engine and am wondering what sort of MPG ( KM/Litre will do ! ), a) For general around Town use, and b) Long distance Motorway cruising at about 65-70 MPH. Thanks in advance for any replies.
p.s. Is there anything specific I should check while in the tyre kicking mode ?
