Arrow Improved quality and equipment fot Nissan Pathfinder and Navara

Improved quality and equipment for Nissan Pathfinder and Navara

Significant changes have been made to the Pathfinder and Navara pick up to maintain their position as the SUV and pick up of choice across Europe.

Bluetooth phone integration is now available on all grades of Pathfinder and Navara plus it has been uprated to improve convenience and minimise driver distraction. Its integrated into the audio unit, so for incoming calls the volume is automatically lowered, while the display has Caller ID. The system has a phonebook with storage for 100 names and numbers, and improved digital processing for clear sound quality. To emphasise the strong and robust design of Pathfinder and Navara, two new colours have been added to the palette. A distinctive red called Emotion Red will be available. Its an eye-catching, rich colour and endows the vehicles with added presence and premium-ness.

Flint Grey is the second new colour, and adds an air of sophistication and classic elegance to the Pathfinder.

Further enhancements to the exterior come from a new design of six-spoke 17 alloy wheel, while door mirrors are now colour coded on Sport with chrome on Aventura and Navara Outlaw grades. As well as being available either in colour coded or chrome finish, the door mirrors now have integrated turn indicators and a so-called puddle-lamp which lights the ground around the door.

Life on-board has been upgraded with improvements to the cabin, equipment and load-area. The first thing owners will notice when they open the door is the addition of aluminium kick plates on the front doors and tailgate on Sport and Aventura grades of Pathfinder (Outlaw and Aventura for Navara) which add to the feeling of discreet premium-ness.

The same grades gain footwell illumination, another feature which is typically found on premium vehicles. Customers will also appreciate the soft-touch paint which has been added to the aluminium style centre console, ensuring that the feel of the interior is more tactile.

In the Pathfinders load-area, the quality and thickness of the carpet has been improved, which adds to the overall ambience of quality inside.

To build on its already impressive off-road capabilities, the manual transmission Pathfinder is now equipped with Uphill Start Support (USS). USS allows drivers to perform easy hill-starts without fear of roll-back. When engaged, the system holds the Pathfinder on its brakes for three seconds after the brake pedal has been released, giving the driver time to apply the power and engage the clutch for a smooth take-off. The system is already available on Pathfinders equipped with an automatic gearbox.

Sales of the newly upgraded Pathfinder and Navara for the UK will begin in July.
