Nissan Launches New Sedan for India
 

Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. has announced that its Indian sales company Nissan Motor India Private Ltd. released "Teana" sedan on April 19, 2007. The new seda is marketed through Nissan dealers in India for 2.047 million Indian rupee (about ??5.813 million when converted at ??2.84/rupee).

Employing the 2.3 L "VQ23DE" engine and leather seats for the Teana sedan, Nissan made thespecifications suited to needs of Indian customers. The new sedan model will be manufactured at Kyushu Plant and exported as a complete unit to India. The company projects 350 units of sales for FY2007.

The Teana has become the second Nissan brand model marketed in India, following the SUV "X-TRAIL" released in 2004. Nissan aims to expand its sales by introducing the Teana into the fast-growing luxury sedan segment in the Indian automobile market.
