Special edition of Mercedes CL 65 AMG
 

Stuttgart - Mercedes-Benz will showcase a special edition of the CL 65 AMG at the New York Auto Show which runs until April 15, marking the 40th anniversary of the AMG sports series.

Typical of the AMG look is a low-positioned front spoiler with an integrated mesh grille and the four exhaust pipes protruding from the rear.

The power unit produces some 612 hp with the 2.2 tonne vehicle accelerating from zero to 100 km/h in only 4.4 seconds with the top speed electronically regulated at 250 km/h.

Mercedes lists the average fuel consumption at 14.8 litres per 100 kilometres.

The two-door coupe is fitted with an Active Body Control chassis, 20 inch wheels and a special high-performance braking system.

In line with the anniversary only 40 of the vehicles will be produced all in the special aluminium beam colour that creates the impression of fluid metal. The interior leathers come in twin colours with carbon applications. ?© 2007 dpa - Deutsche Presse-Agentur
