kia pregio hard to start
 

hi and hello to all im the new boy on the block and im pretty dim so ive plenty of questions to ask .
iv a 2004 kia 2.5 pregio minibus its an import . recently the fuel pump was removed as some nut put petrol instead of diesel . the pump was repaired by a qualified mechanic who has repaired it some years previous for a simular episode. any way the vehicle is mechanically driven and a woodriff key is present. when pump was refitted the vehicle was very very slow to turn over so fitter thought it was the glow plugs ? checked replaced 2 and its the same. next the auto electrician thought it had a bad earth so he replaced a connection to starter motor and again the same. fitter then suggested starter could be faulty removed took to auto electrician who said there was a lot of drag to it so i bought a new one fitted and guess what its the same. it was then suggested it may be injectors seeping fuel in to pistons . so we removed sent for checking found them to be fine . the next guess was battery u/s as when turning over we had an over run on starter . replaced and same . we removed injectors and vehicle flis over eliminating bottom end tightening. my thought are timing is out and cannot trace a timing set up diagram any one out there had simular problems or can shed some light on ?:confused:
