President Bush Visits Ford Hybrid SUV Plant In Kansas
The Associated Press reports that Ford Motor Company is recalling 37,400 of its new F-series Super Duty trucks. The recall only affects those with the 6.4-liter diesel engines and not the gasoline-powered version or with 6.0-liter and 7.3-liter diesel engines. Note that the bulk of the affected vehicles, about 29,000, are still on dealer lots.
The ball of flames from the tailpipes is caused by leaking fuel that ignited in a filter near the tailpipe. Software updates are needed to fix the problem. Contact your local dealer if you have questions and concerns regarding this recall.
