Ford Ranger sales slide further

Dark July for Ford as sales slump

Ford Motor Co. on Wednesday said sales dropped for several of its auto models, with the Ranger truck plummeting compared with last year's results.

Ford Ranger sales were down 29.3 percent in July, from 8,014 in 2006 to 5,662 last month.
