If it has the good graces of the perfectionist Germans, then it has to be good. The TUV Rhineland group has given its stamp of approval to the new Ford Mondeo's claim of being allergy-free, which should be music to the ears (and noses and throats) of those who suffer annually when the seasons change and pollen, dust, and ragweed gets all fired up.

First and foremost, the Mondeo has a built-in high-tech pollen filter, which sucks the irritant right out of the air and prevents it from infiltrating the noses of anyone in the vehicle. The leathers and other fabrics of the interior are allergen-tested, the adhesives are low on the emissions scale, and chrome and nickel are nowhere to be found inside the car.

This allergy-free vehicle will be available first in Europe. It will be Ford's fifth allergy-friendly car.
