BMW India to launch X5 SUV in India in November

BMW has announced their plans to launch their latest model X5 in the Indian market this coming November.

The company has also now revised its sales target in the country for this fiscal from 1,000 to 1,200 units.

BMW said that they have sought the permission of Automotive Research Association of India to launch their X5 SUV in India.

BMW India president, Peter Kronschnabl said in a statement on their plans for the Indian market: ??We have increased our sales target by 200 cars, buoyed by the encouraging market response.??

He added: ??Last year, the total car sales in India was estimated at 14 lakh, which is expected to go up to 30 lakh in 2015. About 3,500 premium cars were sold in 2006 and this year, the figure is expected to touch 5,000.??
