New M Sports Package for the BMW X5

In 1999 BMW Group launched the first-generation BMW X5, creating the brand new Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) segment in the worldwide market. Since then, more than one million BMW X3 and BMW X5 have been sold, and in a segment now subject to keen competition the new BMW X5 once again sets the standard in driving dynamics and agility.

Powerful eight- and six-cylinder engines with BMW xDrive permanent all-wheel drive and a brand-new suspension optimised from the ground up give the new model its supreme agility and driving dynamics.

A BMW X5 equipped with the M Sports Package boasts its dynamic potential discretely, stylishly, but unmistakably through the use of exterior features in body colour. In addition to the bumpers, door sills and door protection strips the widened wheel arches also sport the characteristic M design.

As an alternative to the 19-inch V-spoke M light-alloy wheels included in the sports package, the car can be fitted with optional 20-inch M alloys. In both cases the front and rear wheels are fitted with 2-size tyres designed exclusively for the BMW X5. High-speed tuning and the sports suspension also included in the M Sports Package complete the measures implemented to enhance driving dynamics.

The BMW Individual Exterior Line featuring satin finish aluminium side window surrounds and the BMW Individual roof railing in high-gloss shadow line accentuate the ultimate in exclusivity. Electrically adjustable sport seats for driver and front seat passenger, an M leather-covered steering wheel, aluminium interior trims (finely brushed lengthwise) and an anthracite BMW Individual roof lining turn the interior of a BMW X5 equipped with the M Sports Package into a profoundly unique SAV driving experience.
