Vitz 2007 vibration - engine 1000cc problems

| Problems: | dear sirs, my name is indika from sri lanka. i hv toyta vitz 2007 model n im having problem. that is at "P" ok but vibrates when it is on "D" with brakes pedal pressed. Basically when you stop at a signal. how can i fix it? since i live in different country, can you help me on this to solve this issue. fyi i went several times to toyota lanka. but they did not give me a solution. pls help me. rgds/indika |

| Indika I have the very same problem, it just started about a month ago. It's a Vtiz 2007 1000cc, same car, same problem! I checked with several low level techs and garages in Colombo, they all said put new spark plug, air filter, check engine mounts. I ended up replacing the spark plugs and the top engine mount, but the vibration only got worse... I'm actually typing this from the Toyota company right now! They said the issue was the spark plug, that the new replaced ones were not suited for the car, that they need to be "Iridium/Radium spark plugs". So i asked them why the old ones cause similar problem, they told maybe because they had reached their end of life. So now i'm paying to change my spark plugs again! and also do an engine tune up and injector cleaning. 4,000/= each for spark plug, emal me for details. |

| Dear Indika! I hope you have changed your Car till now, but if you didn't and still having the same problem, or that problem is rising again, then i have an easy tip for you to follow, Open the Engine Oil Lid, and leave it for 5 minutes, now go back of the Car, and on Silencer exhast outlet, kick it so harder so that engine oil spills out of that fuel lid. Thats how you can fix your Car. The Giants of kicks doesn't understand the languages.... Thanks.... |

| hi i have the 2007 vitz and today i found the same thing. but when stoped at a colour light the engine is little kind of picked up and try to go front and some times the kind of a vibration have sen. but today after driving for 20 km s, i found when parked by engine is vibrating little un usual. not sure why. i hvae dropped a mail to toyota lanka. let me wait for their reply too. i chnaged oil, oil filter, air filter with toyota genuine stuff. it has ran for 80000kms. if anyone can help me please welcome. |

| I had the same problem and took it to mechanic and he cleaned fuel injector in the engione and it was ok.Now my plugs are approaching 10000kms . |

| I too have same problem noticed recently and i showed the car to mechanic he checked and said the vibration was sue to depreciation of jelly on mount and need to replace at 20,000.00 cost but usually 3 cylinder cars having much vibration like tractors. Now i try to use 95octane if it work i will inform |

| Yeah the problem could be the A/C belt, bcs in my fathers car the belt jumped the running track and caused a heavy load for the engine,fix it. even we found it after a long time. Another solution is increase the idling speed of the engine. ( this won't cost even 100/-), try changing the throttle sensor, but this will cut down engine missing only. |

| dear all am from srilanka i too have a toyota vitz with 93000 kms on clock. i had this problem ever since i bought it in 2011 with 10000 kms. i recently found the solution. on the throttle body where the throttle motor is fixed once you remove the air filter box its on to your left, there is a small hex nut(allen key) covered with some sort of sealant. just turn it clock wise and increase the rpm a little bit and your problem is solved. feel freee to email me on rodneycd@hotmail.com thx |

| Rodney that works, increasing the rpm would do. Market value for 1000cc or less cars has dropped, is that true. A guy gave me an offer for my vitz for 19.5/- only, but my car is in very good condition |

| My problem was when I shift to the reverse gear ,engine vibration. The mechanic tuned the engine ,but the problem still persists.He too tells me this is due to 1000cc engine. |

| At last my problem solved. I have go through the manual of 1kr fe engine. Look at all the location of the sensors. Disconnect the negative terminal of battery. Open throttle body, map sensor, oxygen sensor bank1 and 2, open cam shaft sensor. Open fuel pump with filter after opening the rear seat. Bought 5 bottle of nasa carb cleaner and clean everything. Then let it dry for 30 minutes. Install all parts and sensors back to thier place and yes I sprayed also each and every connector. It took me 3 hours. Connect the terminals and start the car. No vibration at all. Car is running very smooth now. But I dont know what was the cause. |

| Hi. when the car is in D the engine is engaged with geartrain so it is on load, due to that the engine Rpm drops, and a vibration occures , NORMAL. not a fault. remedy. On red lights place the transmission shift lever on N this is what I do. 1. it will increase your petrol millage 2. you and car will be without stress 3. this is how it is done. Warning do not put iit in Park just go one click up in N your problem is solved for sure |

| Hey, i do have vitz 2008 model and faced the same probmel. And sometimes the engine stopped working. It usualy occurs when i have to stay jn traffic for a long time. Apart, it vibrates still when in N mode. I have cleaned the injectors, changed the plug but stay smooth for frw days and occurs again. However if the ac remain off the problem dont occur. need help. thanks rony |

| Guys i am facing this problem. I changed the plug vlean throttle body clean injectors and computerized scan the car. The technician told me that it is due to tappet problem. The engine valve and tappets got tight. And they need tu re adjustment by machine work..then this problem will be gone. |

| Hi I have a Toyota Vitz 2008 and i have the sane vibration. My car vibrate beyond normal when in "P", "N" and even in "D" when i'm driving slow, the first the mechanic told me its the coil plugs then i changed them but the vibration is still there then i was told that it is normal because its a three cylinders now another told me its the fuel pump, but i will see how it goes. If there is someone with a better idea please help a sister. |

| i have a vitz 2008 model 1280cc took car for engine wash later the car is shaking moving faster and a light showing engine problems.went to the mechanic putin a diagnostic device and said throttle has a problem we replaced it but still no change in the car.somebody help i have tried different mechanics but still nothing am in kenya |

| I also face the same issue in my car (Vitz 2007 (1000CC)) vibrating and start will stop when brake in traffic. But finally I Was able to fix the issue in Dehiwala one Mechanic Workshop. they have done a very big job, it's a big relief for me |

| My vitz also vibrates when the car is at rest and idle position... especially - when a/c is turned on, or - when I turn the power steering and - when I shift gear to the "R" mode The vibration is very intense... Kindly, suggest a solution to me if somebody has one... |

| Fixed !!! I have fixed this issue with 1KR 2009 Belta.. It was due to EGR Valve motor stop functioning.. Please also check its connector sometime its wire brake from connector end due to vibration. Changed this motor only it will solve the issue. I had earlier changed plugs/ coils / throttle body cleaning (nothing effect) until this valve is diagnosed and replaced now there is no vibration at all. Thanks Immad |
