1999 Toyota Ipsum my car suddenly stops problems

| Problems: | In the morning the car takes time to pick up power. At times when i am driving, it suddenly stops and i have to restart it again. This also happens when i am reversing. Thirdly when i insert the reverse gear, it makes a huge banging sound. | |

| My car (Toyota Ipsum 2.4 1997 model) it slows down when I drive from 80Km/h up. The Engine keeps running and the speed meter keep going up as I try to acceralate but the car slows down. What might the problem be? |
