1997 Mazda MPV starting problems

Problems:after I replaced a bad battery, van will not start. when you turn the switch, the solenoid clicks and that is all. does not even attempt to turn over

Disconnect your negative battery terminal and check for corrosion or rust in between it. This will prevent power from transmitting to the starting resulting in a click which is the starter solenoid. Remove any rust from the battery cable with a wire brush and replace negative battery terminal.
