Nissan Patrol

The Nissan Patrol is a four-wheel-drive vehicle, manufactured by Nissan in Japan since 1950. The car is available in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, United Kingdom and the Middle East and it is in direct competition with the Toyota Land Cruiser. The Patrol is available with either two door (Short Wheel Base or SWB) or four door wagon (LWB, Long Wheel Base). The old Y60 platform is still manufactured as a military vehicle to Asian countries & middle east. Even today, a modern Patrol is in production; with various engines still produced. Rumors of Nissan releasing this car under the Infiniti brand have proven to be false many times.

This vehicle is sold in Japan under the name Nissan Safari. It has also been sold in Australia from the 1960s to the current day as a Nissan Patrol. Ford Australia rebadged the Y60 (GQ) Patrol in Australia from its release in 1988 to 1994 as the Maverick. Offroad it is a very capable vehicle and is renowned for its driveline strength and durability.
