BMW E63/E64

The BMW E63 coupe and E64 convertible chassis are the newest version of the 6-Series, produced from 2004 to present. The last 6-Series was the 1977-1989 BMW E24. The new 6 Series was designed to look like a shark, and really does remind you of one. The controversial "Bangle-butt" rear styling works somewhat better on the shapely E63 than on other BMWs.

The E63/E64 6-Series are powered by the N62 V8 engine with BMW's Valvetronic variable valve timing system. This is an all aluminum engine with 4 valves per cylinder. The new 6-Series are available with either a 6 speed automatic transmission or a 6 speed SMG sequential gear box.
