Default Harrier 1999

I'm new to the forum and looking for help with my 1999 Harrier (automatic) imported from Japan to Mozambique. I've had extensive work done on my transmission and still no luck. Gears do not shift smoothly and there is a delay in accelerating. Car often downshifts when accelerating rapidly to pass. Some have mentioned a problem with the fuel injection, others think it's a problem with the electrical valves linked to the transmission to shift gears. Anyone have any idea what it could be?
