Kangaroo TV?® Becomes Vodafone McLaren Mercedes Official Supplier

First Team to deliver optimum F1 race coverage to team and guests with bespoke sets

MIRABEL, QC, WOKING, UK, BARCELONA, SPAIN, May 8 /CNW Telbec/ - Leaders of innovation and high performance, Vodafone McLaren Mercedes is the first F1 team to announce a partnership with Kangaroo TV(R) to provide a Vodafone McLaren Mercedes bespoke unique Kangaroo set. The multi-year agreement makes Kangaroo TV an official supplier of Vodafone McLaren Mercedes. Setting a precedent and raising the bar for delivering the best race coverage to its valued guests, the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes team-branded compact Kangaroo TV sets will include bespoke content, in addition to live video, audio and data of World Champion Fernando Alonso and rookie sensation, Lewis Hamilton. "The handy Kangaroo TV devices will provide the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes team and guests immediate and customized access to live race video, audio and data feeds," said Ron Dennis, Team Principal, Vodafone McLaren Mercedes. "The state-of-the-art TV devices allow our guests to be flexible and independent, and get even closer to our team, cars and drivers than ever before. The bespoke Kangaroo TV devices will enhance the race experience for our guests. They will be tailored to monitor and highlight the data available for Fernando and Lewis, so that our VIP guests capture everything out on the circuit and better understand how it affects our race and our strategy." "The signature Vodafone McLaren Mercedes Kangaroo TV sets are a first in the F1 paddock and a forward-thinking move by the team, so their guests can follow the entire race better," explained Kangaroo TV Europe GM Alain Charette. "From any point on the circuit, their guests will have access to live in-car cameras to follow Alonso and Hamilton around the track and listen to live driver and team communications, all from a lightweight TV set in the palm of their hand." In May 2006, Kangaroo TV secured a six year exclusive licensing agreement with FOA (Formula One Administration Ltd) through FOM (Formula One Management Ltd) to rebroadcast Formula One live content at all F1 Grand Prix worldwide. The service is being offered at every race on the 2007 Formula One Championship schedule. It is available to the general public at the F1 Village or via several WEB outlets, including www.kangaroo.tv. It is also available to all teams and sponsors in the paddock using the generic F1 branded Kangaroo TV sets. Kangaroo TV provides access to the main F1 international race broadcast, in-car driver cameras, team radio audio, including driver-to-pit conversations, live commentary and radio play-by-play when available, race timekeeping, leader board and statistics in real-time, current event news and information, biographic files on teams and drivers.
