Arrow Teen killed while trying to move family's Mazda Miata

KILDEER -- A suburban Chicago teenager was killed while trying to move a family car when he lost his footing and was pinned between two vehicles.

Zachary Foreman, 14, of Kildeer, died on Tuesday when he was crushed between the two cars in the driveway of his home. Foreman was attempting to move the family???‚¬?„?s Mazda Miata, Kildeer Police Chief Jeffrey Lilly said Thursday.

After struggling to get the car to move while in neutral, he got out, and gave the car a push.

When the Mazda began traveling down the driveway, Foreman tried to stop it by getting behind the car, Lilly said. But the teen lost his footing and the Mazda struck a Subaru in the driveway, pinning him and crushing his head and chest.

Foreman???‚¬?„?s family said he wanted to move the car out of the garage so he could prepare for a trip he was about to take with his father.
