![]() The home hydrogen generator A bi-fuel Ford Focus, with minimal modifications, has successfully completed initial trials in a programme conducted on behalf of ITM Power Plc by the University of Hertfordshire. During the testing programme the vehicle was able to travel over 25 miles on a single charge of hydrogen – ITM says this is longer than the average commuting journey – before being switched back to run on petrol. ITM Power, Europe’s largest electrolyser and fuel cell company, has developed a low-cost electrolyser which can convert renewable energy (wind, wave or solar power) or off-peak electricity into hydrogen. It then used its own prototype ‘home refuelling system’ to fuel the dual-fuel Focus prototype. Both the refuelling system, which will be able to generate and store hydrogen at home or at work, and the bi-fuel car are to be publicly demonstrated later this year. Meanwhile, ITM Power is finalising the design of a manufacturing facility in Sheffield which will deliver”one of the largest electrolyser production capabilities in the world”. Manufacturing is expected to commence as early as the first half of next year. ITM Power says pilot FCVs such as Honda’s and BMW’s dual petrol/hydrogen 7 Series have no access to a hydrogen refuelling infrastructure and rely on liquified hydrogen stored at ultra-low temperatures, while its conventional Ford Focus test car runs on hydrogen gas which can be produced anywhere with access to water and electricity. ITM Power, which has its headquarters in Saffron Walden and research and development centre in Sheffield, is developing a number of devices that will allow homes, offices and factories, as well as vehicles, to use hydrogen. In order to build a hydrogen generator you will need a guide that is in-depth, the right tools and some technical know-how. Im not allowed to divulge anything too in depth as the inventors would have my hide or the hide of the server hosting this article. The basic idea, however, is not copyrighted.
A container, not to not to big, is installed snugly in the engine compartment. It gets filled with water as well as a bit of baking soda. The other connections will eventually lead into the water with battery cables so when the car battery strikes the water with baking soda a chemical reaction happens as the molecules of the water break to what scientists call Browns Gas. Browns Gas uses the vacuum of the engine to enter into the engine manifold then into the engine what it is mixed with your regular gasoline. This makes the gasolines combustion properties burn more fluently, more efficient a complete combustion if you will. Dont worry there is no tampering with the engine or the computer and this device works with fuel injected systems as well as late model cars that use carburetors. You can get 50-100% gas mileage. Like I said earlier gas prices will not go down until we stop relying on it. Until we do they will keep going up until we stop and by then we will all be bankrupt while politicians and oil tycoons will remain at the top of the food chain.
